Baisakhi Celebrations concluded this morning. Main function was held with limited number of participants from 12 to 22 April 21. Indian Sikh Jatha (818) was allowed/granted visa to attend the rituals in Pakistan. The Jatha arrived on 12 April and after visiting all the important Gurdwaras, returned to India today by 1230 pm. Main function was held on 14 April in Gurdwara Panja Sahib Hassanabdal. Locals were not allowed to attend the rituals due to NCOC restrictions except their leadership and those on duty (for service). Baisakhi Festival was celebrated this year at Gurdwara Panja Sahib after the gap of one year. The Indian Sikh yatrees were allowed to stay in Kartarpur for one night and Nagar Kirtan was taken up to Zero point. They appreciated ETPB, PSGPC and Pakistani Government’s gesture/special permission and thanked the Prime Minister for the gift of opening Kartarpur Corridor. ETPB and PSGPC made all arrangements for their stay, Security, health cover and transport.
